Teacher Fellowship Program

LTWA Sager Science Centre, Dharamshala

The Monastic Science Teacher Fellowship Program, organised by the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives was held at the Sager Science Center from 13th January, 2025. It was successfully concluded on 24th January, 2025 with a simple closing ceremony in the presence of LTWA General Secretary Mr. Ngawang Yeshi and LTWA Deputy Secretary Mr. Tenzin Lhawang.

For this program, we had two wonderful experts Ms. Sonal Thorve, from Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park and Planetarium, Pune and Mrs. Tenzin Pelmo, English Educationist, TCV School.

There were 15 monastic Science Teachers from 7 different institutes. The two-week program focused not only on Science Education Pedagogy, but also on hands-on based teaching. Participants were tutored to engage in creative pedagogical approaches. They were all trained to be equipped with skills in building science-related toys for hands-on activities that they can use for their students. The participants also demonstrated progress in their English skills through interactive English lessons.
